The southern two members of the chain of lakes are Upper and Lower Nemahbin. Both Upper and Lower Nemahbin are significantly larger than their northern cousins. Their size draws numerous water enthusiasts during the warm months with an invitation to water ski, fish or use personal water craft. When the last glacier retreated across the landscape, it left Upper Nemahbin carved deeply into the earth. Lower Nemahbin makes the transition from reedy, wetland type habitat in the northeast to rocky bluffs in the south. Two islands rest in the middle of the lake.
